Inland Empire Cold Storage is a family owned and operated company founded by the Sacalas family in 2005. When they founded IECS, the Sacalas’ already had 20+ years experience successfully managing their own trucking company, Land Jet Motor Carriers. With their extensive knowledge of transportation logistics, particularly of refrigerated items, creating a cold storage facility seemed the logical next step for the family. The Sacalas’ wanted to provide customers with the same level of customer service and flexibility in cold storage that they had been offering in trucking for more than 2 decades. Between Landjet Motor Carriers and Inland Empire Cold Storage, the company is able to provide full logistical distribution for cold and dry freight within Southern California.

To maintain the level of quality the Sacalas family has built their reputation on, they spared no expense in the design and development of the cold storage facility. Some of the features that set our storage facility apart from our competition include:

• The use of Class 1 rated urethane foam which provides 86% greater insulation than industry standards

• Twin independent cooling systems each capable of handling the cooling load individually

• Blast Cooling capability – perfect for storing even delicate produce

• A temperature that is never compromised even during routine maintenance due to a redundant twin cooling system.
